Welcome to our gift-giving class! Some of the gifts will be budget-friendly, while others will be extravagant. You can choose the gift that fits your needs the best! Every post will follow a similar format. Here is that explanation:

-Each post will be geared towards a person that you may have in your life: a teacher, an athlete, a baby, a foodie, a traveler, etc. Then, we will give you gift ideas that we think that person may enjoy.

-For each person, we will give you three categories of gifts: $, $$, and $$$. There is further explanation on this concept below.

$ gifts: These are the most budget-friendly gifts. You will simply use your oils to create a DIY project that this person may enjoy. If you are feeling thrifty and crafty, then you will enjoy this category.

$$ gifts: These are gifts that you can purchase ready-made from Young Living. For the people that don’t enjoy DIY projects, this is the category for you! To create an extra-special gift, make a gift basket with the DIY project PLUS a few of these Young Living goodies.

$$$ gifts: These are additional products that this person may enjoy. These items may be purchased at most any store. First, create the DIY project, next add in a few Young Living products, and then choose a few of these add-ins to make your gift out-of-this-world! It is your choice. You may gift only the DIY project, only the Young Living products, or you may create a gift basket that combines many items that the person will enjoy! You can present your gift in a box, a bag, or a basket. The point? This class is highly customizable! Take from it what you want and leave the rest!

Foodies love food! This gift will be for these people!

$: DIY: Any foodie would love to have oil-infused sea salts! You can customize this gift to your preference! Your friend might enjoy Lemon Pepper salts, Lime salts, or an Italian blend of Oregano and Basil! Use your imagination!

$$: Young Living Products: Young Living makes several Einkhorn products that your foodie will enjoy! Einkhorn, an ancient grain that has not been genetically modified, is used to create wholesome, healthy grain products such as Einkhorn granola, Einkhorn pasta, and Einkhorn flour. The Ningxia Berry syrup tastes amazing atop the Einkhorn pancakes! If your foodie is a tea drinker, then he or she may enjoy the Slique Tea! Does your food-loving friend enjoy cooking or baking? Then you should consider gifting some of the vitality oils so they can amp up the flavor in their delectable dishes!

$$$: Gift Basket Add-ins: To complete your foodie gift, you could add in some spiced nuts, some accessories for their tea such a kettle or a mug, stainless steel measuring utensils for the baker, and wine/a wine cork for the wine drinker.

The men in your life might enjoy this collection of manly gifts! While there are many types of guys, with many types of interests, we have tried to include a little something for all of them!

$: DIY: Shaving Cream: Most men over the age of 14 shave, so DIY shaving cream should be appreciated by them! The only exception might be the bearded males. For these guys, you might substitute a beard oil instead! We shared that recipe in our “Oils for Dudes” class. If you missed it, then comment below and we will share it with you!

$$: Young Living Products: Shutran essential oil would be a great gift for that special guy in your life! It smells awesome, so you won’t want to stop hugging him! For any male that uses his muscles a lot, he will want to have a Deep Relief Roll-on. Most every man that I know, oily or not, loves Deep Relief for its ability to soothe aching muscles. Many guys claim Deep Relief as their favorite oil! After his workout, your dude might enjoy the smell and cleansing power of the Peppermint Cedarwood Bar Soap. And, last but not least, the active male might need Ortho Sport Massage Oil for tired muscles after a basketball game with friends, helping someone move, or a long day at work.

$$$: Gift Basket Add-ins: When trying to brainstorm other ideas for a man’s gift, my first thought was food. All men love it. I think my boys would be thrilled if they received nothing else than food on Christmas morning! So, in that theme, you could add in BBQ utensils, some mixed nuts, summer sausage, or beer. Beer is a universal man gift. (Let’s keep that for the over 21, please.)

Do you have an athlete in your life? You know… that person that enjoys a 5K before the rest of us have exited our bed? Here are a few ideas that he or she may appreciate…..

$: DIY: Cooling Spray: This DIY Cooling Spray is very simple to make and it is a favorite among athletes! When they are feeling overheated, they simply spritz themselves with this spray to assist the body in cooling off.

$$: Young Living Products: The Breathe Again Roll-On will help the athlete that needs helps catching his breath after an intense workout. The Cool Azul Pain Cream will assist her with the aching muscles from a lifting session that pushed her to the limits. The Blender Bottle and Pure Protein Shakes will give them a nutritional boost after their training session. The Ningxia Nitro, which contains green tea, will give him a natural caffeine boost to push through to the next level.

$$$: Gift Basket Add-ins: If you would like to create a gift basket for the athlete in your life, then you will choose a few of the products mentioned above. To complete your basket, try adding in a few of these extras......many athletes enjoy cooling towels to wipe the sweat off their brow. Also, they might appreciate a new water bottle or lifting gloves!

Do you have little ones on your gift list? Maybe a niece, a nephew, or a grandbaby? Whether it be for a Christmas present or a baby shower, any young mom would appreciate these all-natural products for her baby!

$: DIY: Baby Wipes: These natural baby wipes are easy to make and completely natural for a baby bottom!

$$: Young Living Products: Tender Tush is a non-toxic alternative to diaper cream. If it is out of stock, then consider Rose Ointment instead. KidScents bath gel will keep your baby clean without the harmful chemicals that are present in many baby soaps. Gentle Babies and Lavender are both calming oils that are great for the skin, as well! Diffuse them for a calming environment for a fussy baby or a tired mama. Or, you can add them to coconut oil and use them as a diaper cream.

$$$: Gift Basket Add-ins: If you want to create a gift basket for the baby in your life, then you will first choose a few of the items list above. In order to complete the gift, you might consider adding a few of these items as well: baby washcloths, a baby bath robe, bath toys, or a Chemical-Free Home 3 booklet. This book, by Melissa Poepping, gives multiple recipes that are all centered around babies! A mama will be completely armed for raising her little one without chemicals! Here is a link to the booklet: https://www.discoverlsp.com/chemical-free-home-volume-3.html

Kids! Most every child that I know has more toys than they could possible ever use! So, I am always trying to think of other things to get them! These gifts would work for Christmas, birthdays, or Easter! Here are a few of my ideas…..

$: DIY: Homemade playdough was always a constant in my home when I had little people. But, I never put oils in mine. It is genius. Think of it! The child can be playing AND getting aromatherapy at the same time! I am sold. One of my good friends lets her little ones play with lavender scented playdough everyday before their naptime so they will sleep as long as possible. Brilliant. Cranky kid? Let them play with orange scented playdough for a mood boost! Stuffy nose? Pull out the peppermint playdough. Your options are endless…..

$$: Young Living Products: Many kids enjoy having their own little set of essential oils. The KidScents Mini Set is perfect for them! (Note: I am not certain if this product will be available year-round, so I would order it ASAP if you are interested.) If you really want to make their day, then buy them their own diffuser! There are three different kid diffuser choices: a dinosaur, a dolphin, or a horse. Plus, the animal covers are interchangeable. So, if your child likes the horse and the dolphin, then you could buy the complete dolphin diffuser (cover and diffuser) and then buy the additional horse cover as well. Each night she can choose if she would like to use the dolphin cover or the horse cover. These diffusers serve as a nightlight as well! Sweet Dreams for the entire household. Another idea for kids is the KidScents toothpaste. While a child might not get excited about toothpaste as a gift, they might be more thrilled if you add a battery-powered character toothbrush with it! A Frozen-themed electric toothbrush plus a Thieves toothpaste might make a little girl smile!

$$$: Gift Basket Add-ins: To make a gift basket for the child in your life, you will first fill a basket with a few of the items listed above. In order to complete the gift, you might consider adding in some stickers, some art supplies, or some cookie cutters for their playdough.

Do you know a girly girl?  That lady that loves makeup, jewelry, heels, and sparkles?   The diva in your life might be 15 years old or 50! Here are a few gifts that she might enjoy…

$:  DIY: Perfume Spritzer:  This perfume spritzer may be easily customized to fit your preference.    Try them all and see which one is your favorite scent!  If you don’t enjoy these combos, then you may create your own!   Note:  The longer you let this sit, the stronger the scent will be.  The scent will be fully developed about 4-6 weeks after mixing.  Additional Note:  Perfume Spray bottles are available on Amazon and here:  http://www.abundanthealth4u.com/3_ml_Deluxe_Silver_Colored_Perfume_Spray_p/9174.htm

$$:  Young Living Products:  For the woman who loves makeup, you should introduce her to Young Living’s L Briante Lip Gloss.  This product has lip gloss on one end and a perfume on the other end.  There are three color and scent combos available. Another product she may enjoy is the Orange Blossom Facial Wash.  At the end of the day, she will want an all-natural product to remove her makeup and cleanse her face.   This face wash works amazing and smells even better.  For relaxation, your diva may enjoy the Lavender Bath and Shower Gel!

$$$:  Gift Basket Add-ins:  If you would like to make a gift basket for the diva in your life, then you will begin by filling a basket with a few of the gifts listed above.   To complete your gift, you might add in a cute jar of cotton balls for removing her makeup.  Also, you could add a lufah sponge for her bath or shower.    If she enjoys sparkles, then you could bless her with a new piece of jewelry, as well!

For the Ladies.png

This one goes out to all the ladies in your life-grandma, mama, sister, daughter, aunt, friend…..any of these ladies might enjoy this gift!

$: DIY: Perfume Solid….While I think all girls are supposed to love perfume, I will admit that I don’t. Why? Two reasons. First of all, synthetic fragrances give me an instant migraine. Secondly, as a mom of all boys, the liquid is always at risk of spilling all over my purse due to “boys.” This perfume solid is my answer to mobile perfume. It is made only with essential oils, so I can know that I won’t get a headache. Also, because it is a solid, it is safe in my purse from leakage!

$$: Young Living Products: Most any lady would enjoy any of the products in the ART skin care line. In the graphic below, I included the skin care system. But, any of the ART products would be greatly loved! Also, the Young Living lip balms are amazing! There are three flavors to choose from! Cinnamint is my favorite! Have you ever tried the Lavender Hand and Body lotion? It will ruin you to all other lotions. Anyone would love it as a gift!

$$$: Gift Basket Add-ins: If you would like to make a gift basket, then first you will choose a few of the items listed above. In order to complete the basket, you might want to add in some chocolate (I haven’t ever met a girl who doesn’t like chocolate), some wine, or a good book. Do they have a hobby? Cooking, quilting, scrapbooking, or fashion? Grab a magazine on that topic to add to the gift.

Do you have a person in your life that actually enjoys cleaning?  I am not that person, but I have a few of them in my life that would love this gift! Do you know anyone like that?

Note:  One of my wedding gifts was a laundry basket packed with cleaning items!   They included various cleaners, a broom, a dustpan, some cloths, and more!  As a newlywed, I very much appreciated that gift!  I still have that same broom all of these years later!    So, keep this gift in mind for weddings as well!

$:  DIY:  This scrubby surface cleaner can be used anywhere thata person would typically use Comet or Ajax, but without all of the harmful chemicals.    We keep a jar under every sink in our household!

$$:  Young Living Products:  Thieves household cleaner surpasses commercial cleaning products in so many ways!   It is non-toxic, it is effective in cleansing nearly every surface in your household, and it smells like Christmas year-round! Every Clean Freak needs to try Thieves cleaner! For quick cleaning, he or she might enjoy the Thieves wipes.  The Thieves Laundry soap and Dish soap are a non-toxic alternatives to their commercial counterparts!

$$$:  Gift Basket Add-ins:   To complete your gift, you might consider packaging the gift inside a bucket (for cleaning floors) or a laundry basket.   You can add in empty spray bottles for mixing the Thieves cleaner concentrate, microfiber cloths for dusting, and wool dryer balls for drying their laundry.   Castile soap is used in many DIY cleaning recipes, so this might be a great addition to this gift as well!

Is there anyone in your life that spends a lot of their time traveling?   Maybe they are driving in a car or maybe they are flying in an airplane.  Either way, they might enjoy these gift ideas……

$:  DIY:  Traveling usually means sleeping in unfamiliar beds.   Unfamiliar beds can mean uncomfortable sleep due to a bad mattress, strange sounds, or disorientation. The traveler in your life might enjoy this Sweet Dreams Spray to help them get a good night’s sleep.   They will simply spray it on their pillow at night.

$$:  Young Living Products:  Travelers are exposed to a lot of germs.  For this reason, they might enjoy the Thieves Spray, the Thieves Lozenges, and the Thieves Hand Purifier.  They can purify their hands, spray any items that they must touch while on their journey, and suck on a lozenge to ward off any intruders.    Also, the traveling friend might enjoy the Bon Voyage Kit from Young Living.  It is travel-size versions of many of the popular Young Living products!   And, last but not least, we have the Rutavala Roll-On.  This blend is specially formulated for a sweet night’s sleep.   In combination with the Sweet Dream Spray, your traveler will enjoy blissful sleep despite being in an unfamiliar bed.

$$$:  Gift Basket Add-ins:   To complete this gift, you might consider adding in a book or a magazine for entertainment in the airport.    You could also consider an I-tunes gift card for games or music on their phone.   A neck pillow would be a great addition as well!

This gift is good for any dog lover….or for the dog itself!    Furbabies like getting gifts, also!    Here are a few ideas…

$:  DIY:  When your furry friend is having a hard time calming down due to fireworks, a storm, or a visitor to your home, you can use this Calming Spray to help it chill out.

$$:  Young Living Products:  Did you know that Young Living carries several products for dogs?    You might consider the Animal Scents Shampoo, Dental Pet Chews, or the Ointment for your furry friend!

$$$:  Gift Basket Add-ins:   To complete the gift, you might add a dog toy, a dog bone, some dog clothing, or a food/water bowl.

If you have children, then you probably have teachers in your life! It might be at school, at daycare, in the nursery at church, or in a homeschool group. Let’s show these people how much we appreciate the love and life that they speak into our kids! Even if you don’t have kids, then you may have a teacher in your life. Do you have a pastor, a bible study leader, or a mentor? I would consider them teachers! All of these gifts would be appreciated by them as well! Let’s talk about each of these gifts and why a teacher in your life may enjoy them. Before kids, I used to be a teacher, so this is a topic that I can speak confidently on……

$: DIY: Lotion Bars: Teachers handle a lot of paper throughout the day. For this reason, traditional lotion can be challenging because it transfers to the paper! Lotion Bars look like a bar of soap. You simply rub the bar on your hands-dry- and it moisturizes your hands without the sticky lotion residue. For packaging, I recommend wrapping the bar in brown paper and tying a piece of ribbon or jute around it.

$$: Young Living Products: When I was teaching, I always kept a glass of water on my desk! I would have loved to have citrus flavored water! Buy a stainless steel or glass cup (no plastic) and add in a bottle of citrus oil for flavoring! A teacher might enjoy Thieves breath mints as well! Fresh breath PLUS the immune boosting properties of Thieves! It is a win all around. And last, but not least, Stress Away! Managing that many kiddos can be rewarding, yet stressful, all at the same time. I don’t know a teacher who wouldn’t enjoy a Stress-Away Roll-on for their desk. If your kid is ornery, then you might buy her two. My youngest child’s teacher might need three….or four….

$$$: Gift Basket Add-ins: If you would like to create a gift basket for the teacher in your life, then you will choose several of the products listed above PLUS.......how about a gift card for coffee or to a bookstore? Your teacher spends a lot of time investing in the lives of other people. I bet she would enjoy a cup of coffee or a good book all to herself. Help your child write a thank you card to the teacher. A heartfelt note from a mama or kid will transform the teacher's world!

For the couples in your life, you might consider this romantic gift for their next date night!    Also, this would be a great wedding or bridal shower gift!

$:  DIY:   For silky soft smooches, the couple may enjoy this DIY lip balm on their romantic evening out.

$$:  Young Living Products:   Sensation and Shutran are the favorite YL products for romance!    You can order Sensation three different ways:   in an essential oil, as a massage oil, and as a hand and body lotion.   Shutran is a popular romance item as well.  It comes as an essential oil, as an aftershave lotion, and as a bar soap.  Both Sensation and Shutran smell amazing!

$$$:  Gift Basket Add-ins:  After choosing a few of the items listed above, you might consider adding wine or sparkling apple juice alongside some wine glasses.    Also, I am sure the happy couple would love a gift card to the movie theater or a restaurant for their date night!    To top it off, you could include some roses or some chocolate-covered strawberries.

Note:  Empty lip balm tubes are available or Amazon or at www.abundanthealth4u.com

When you budget is low and your heart is big, you need a few cheaper ideas for gift giving! These gifts are great for your kid’s bus driver, your doctor, your garbage man, your hair dresser, your neighbors, or other people that touch your life on a regular basis. I recommend bundling a couple of these gifts together and maybe adding in a sweet treat alongside them. Place everything in a small basket or container and write the person a sweet note telling them how much you appreciate their contribution to your life! That note just may be the most valuable part of your gift.
